Monday Club

Monday Club meets at the

Methodist Church Hall
Scalwell Lane, Seaton EX12 2ST
2pm to 4pm

The Monday Club – The Monday Club is an offshoot of our Society and much loved by all who attend. We have needed volunteers to help keep the club running and you stepped up – we couldn’t close down permanently. Once venues can reopen we meet at the Seaton Methodist Church every Monday (bank holidays and a few weeks during the summer excepted) and all Seaton & District Art Society Members are welcome to come along the cost to cover the hire of the hall and access to the teas, coffees and biscuits is just 3 pounds.

The warm friendly atmosphere, with plenty of chatting is just what most of us need as a break from everyday life and a chance to have an art session in the medium of our choice and splatter a bit of paint, pastels, crayons, pencils and inks around without getting into bother. No experience necessary just a willingness to have some fun while enjoying creating art.

We needed a key holder and excitingly we now have Secret Agent 008 – hopefully unarmed. As 008 will have occasional assignments from MI6 there may be the odd occasion when 008 will have to pass the keys to a deputy but Im sure that wont be a problem.

As far as the refreshments go, weve got that covered as a small but enthusiastic group of Monday Clubbers have stepped up. If for one reason or another we have to call on other members occasionally then Im sure as in the past we will all muck in.

Models for Monday Club – In finding people to pose for us we hope to tempt a range of different clothed models (some professional even, who know how to pose to best effect). We may even use Seaton Local Facebook Page to attract models after all we pay for our models not much but as the saying goes every little helps. If when you read this and fancy modelling then please do get in touch.

To help you find the Methodist Hall, here are some maps. Not being the worlds best navigator I would recommend putting EX12 2ST into your satnav but if you prefer more traditional means of locating places, try these maps. Look for the box marked EX12 2ST and the ‘M’ for Methodist on the black church symbol on the bottom map.
